About Us:

Hello, my name is Lisa MacEachern and agriculture is my life! As a 4-H kid, growing up in rural Nova Scotia in the community of Plymouth, I spent a lot of time around livestock and farms. I developed a deep love of working with animals and the land, which later inspired me to attend the Nova Scotia Agriculture College ((NSAC) now Dalhousie University, Agricultural Campus, Truro,NS). A few years after graduation from NSAC, I married my high school sweetheart. My husband Scott MacEachern has agricultural roots, that run much deeper than mine, being raised on a farm with over 100 head of beef cattle. He has vivid childhood memories of helping his parents on the family beef farm, right here in Baileys Brook! Scott and I have been on this journey for over 30 years now. In 2015, we created our family farm, Ashcroft Angus Farms! We raise Black Angus Cattle, providing our customers with premium, local, pasture-raised beef without added hormones or antibiotics. Our cattle are grass-fed and finished with a mixture of oat, barley and hemp. The whole family helps out when not working in our other family businesses or studying for their degrees.
