About Us:
The Sea Level Brewing Company first opened their doors November 26th, 2007 as the first and only microbrewery in the Annapolis Valley, N.S. Located in Port Williams, Nova Scotia we share accommodations, and work in partnership with The Port Pub: Gastropub and Bistro. Owner and Brew Master Randy Lawrence, has had a passion for hand crafted micro brewed beers, and been creating and brewing them for over 20 years. Starting as a basement hobby and experimentation process in the late 70’s, using only canned drugstore home brew kits, Randy has developed his passion for handcrafted recipes to owning and operating a microbrewery of his own. Focused primarily on benchmarked quality standards and using as many locally derived ingredients and flavours as possible. Randy prides himself on developing and brewing approachable tasting beers with distinguished complex characteristics. With a 15 year professional career, Randy has built his brewing reputation with award winning recipes for breweries such as Propeller (Halifax, N.S.), Paddy’s Pub (Kentville, N.S.), and Rudder’s Restaurant (Yarmouth, N.S.). A true exemplary of transcendence from home brew advocate, to seasoned Brew Master; now independently owning and brewing for his own microbrewery and hop farm. Randy is now the first to grow and produce a micro and commercially brewed, wet and dry hopped beers in Atlantic Canada while brewing at Paddy’s Pub in 1995 and Sea Level Brewery in 2009. The Sea Level Brewing Company’s mission statement is to produce an approachable taste to quality, micro brewed beers. Providing distinguished characteristics and unique flavours to each truly handcrafted recipe; while deriving as many local ingredients as possible since 1995. Our guarantee is to never compromise quality for quantity in the pursuit of brewing happiness.
